Stoke IT Diploma – Real Skills:Real Work:Real Life
The Stoke IT Diploma pilot started in September 2008 and the delivery team for the Higher Diploma includes staff and students from Blurton High School, Mitchell High School and St Peter’s Catholic High School. The Advanced Diploma delivery team includes Staff and students from Stoke on Trent College, with delivery from Stoke Sixth Form College and St Thomas More Catholic College as delivery partners.
A second cohort of students from Blurton and Mitchell High schools started their Higher IT Diploma in September 2009.
The IT Diploma reflects the ways in which technology can support businesses and the people who work in them, with a range of IT technical and media skills developed throughout the Principal Learning of the two year course.
Employers support the IT Diploma, giving students the opportunity to work on real life case studies and present their findings to people from the company.
