STAR Centre in action

Our STAR (Science Technology Achievement & Resource) Centre is a hub of Engineering Activity for the whole community.  We work with schools and organizations from all over Staffordshire and have Inspired Learners ranging from 5-95 Year olds.  Our Modern Technologies suite is the hub of our Re-engineering the Curriculum project and our aim is to create a centre of excellence in Design and Technology and Engineering  for the city.  We offers the use of a wide range of creative technologies, Smart materials, CAD-CAM and computer control.  We have a variety of “never seen before” innovative projects and a room bursting at the seams with hi-tech industry standard equipment, from Knife cutting plotters to Rapid Prototyping, from robots walking around the room to rockets flying in the sky.  If you want to be inspired then this is the place to be.  For a comprehensive list of projects that we deliver please click here.
